Bringing people together to solve the tough problems is the key to Gates’ success as Maricopa County Supervisor
During his time on the Phoenix City Council and on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Bill Gates has a reputation for reaching across the aisle to get things done.
“Bill is the kind of person who successfully reaches across the aisle without sacrificing his core values or asking anyone to sacrifice theirs. He always does what’s in the best interest of our county and I am proud to call him my friend,” stated Art Hamilton who served 26 years in the Arizona House of Representatives, with 18 consecutive years as the Democratic leader in the Arizona House. “Please vote to re-elect Bill Gates to the Board of Supervisors – it’s the right thing to do,” concluded Hamilton.
Gates, who is known as a workhorse, a problem solver, and someone not afraid to tackle the difficult problems is unbashful in his approach.
“Public policy is not created in a vacuum. You need to listen to stakeholders and bring diverse viewpoints to the table. By working together, we can solve the difficult problems. Working together does not mean you sacrifice your values, but I know we can always find common ground if we look hard enough,” stated Gates.
