ducey_1_300Phoenix, AZ – Phoenix City Councilman Bill Gates today announced the endorsement of Governor Doug Ducey for his candidacy for Maricopa County Supervisor.

“I am proud to endorse my friend Bill Gates for County Supervisor,” Governor Doug Ducey said.  “Bill Gates has the right experience and knowledge to move Maricopa County forward. He is bright, pragmatic and someone who knows how to get things done while being a steward of taxpayer money. Bill understands how to help grow our economy, while shrinking government, which is exactly the type of County Supervisor District 3 deserves.  I trusted Bill Gates to serve on my transition team because I knew he is a man of honor and integrity and I am proud to endorse him for the same reasons.”

“I am honored and grateful for Governor’s Ducey’s support and endorsement,” Gates stated. “Governor Ducey has already accomplished so much for our great state. His focus on smaller government, a balanced budget, fewer regulations and innovative thinking is needed at every level of government.  I look forward to continuing working with him at the county level.”

Bill Gates currently serves as a Phoenix City Councilman and is Associate General Counsel & Director of Distribution for PING, a Phoenix-based golf equipment manufacturer. He attended Drake University where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and economics in 1993 and he graduated from Harvard Law School in 1996. Councilman Gates is married and has two daughters.
