County Assessor Paul D. Petersen Endorses Bill Gates for County Supervisor

assessor-1Phoenix, AZ – Today, Maricopa County Assessor Paul Peterson endorses Phoenix Councilman Bill Gates for Maricopa County Supervisor.

“I have had the chance to work with Councilman Bill Gates on several instances and I am impressed with his understanding of the issues facing our community,” said Assessor Petersen. “Gates believes in making government smarter by using technology and finding efficiencies. He will be a great addition to the County Board of Supervisors.”

“The assessment of property values is an important function of our county government and Paul Petersen has done a great job since taking over as County Assessor in 2013,” said Gates. “I was especially impressed with his work helping small businesses during construction of the light rail extension. I am honored to have his support and look forward to working with him once I am elected to the county board. “

Bill Gates currently serves as a Phoenix City Councilman and is Associate General Counsel & Director of Distribution for PING, a Phoenix-based golf equipment manufacturer. He attended Drake University where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and economics in 1993 and he graduated from Harvard Law School in 1996. Councilman Gates is married and has two daughters.
