The rate hike, which starts April 1, will add about $2.21 to the typical resident’s monthly water bill and generate more than $20 million for Phoenix in the first year….
The amendment was drafted by the Planning and Development Department at the request of Councilman Bill Gates, whose district includes several miles of Arizona 51, the Piestewa Freeway. It was approved on Wednesday and now will go to the City Council for a vote.
